Jack started his kart racing at the age of 8 at a local indoor circuit. After just a few visits, Jack showed enough talent to take his ARKS test (karting race licence test). For his first year Jack raced at club level, competing at Bayford Meadows, Rye House and Buckmore Park with many trophy wins.
Renault UK Clio Cup Championship
Securing the ‘O’ Plate title kicked off the 2016 season in fine style for Jack. Strong results throughout the year in ‘The Awning Company Super One’ British Championsp, ultimately led to him securing this prestigious title, once again by the end of the year.
Jack has had a terrific start to 2015, so far taking the Dubai ‘O’ Plate title. Jack then followed up with a strong 2nd place at the Rotax Winter Cup at Campillos in Spain, and a totally dominant win in the Euro Max Opener at Salbris, France. The year end brought both the Rotax Junior European and British Championship titles.
Jack had big expectations for 2014, so Europe’s top Rotax team Strawberry Racing, was chosen for the attack on both British and European Championships. Jack adapted quickly to the new junior class and finished a great year with 4th place in the British Championship, and a very creditable 8th place in the Euro Championship.
Jack joined RL Racing Department with the aim to compete in the British Championship (Mini Max level) and the ultra competitive European Championship (Junior level). In Mini Max the first three months proved to be very hard with a number of non-finishes, so it was decided that Jack would move early into the Junior Max Class in preparation for 2014. In the Euro Championship he posted some fantastic qualifying positions but the races proved to be a different story with a number of non-finishes, leaving Jack a little way down the Championship order.
This was a big year for Jack as he made the move up into the much higher powered Rotax Mini Max Class. It was decided to compete in the British Championship with the highly regarded Project One Race Team. After a fantastic first year in this class, Jack was able to finish the year in a brilliant 8th place.
In his second year in the British Championship Jack finished the year in a great 4th place.
Jack’s talent in club racing was at a level where it was decided he should enter the Super One British Championship. All the circuits were new to Jack but he showed great speed throughout the year to finish the championship in 6th overall. A superb result at his very first attempt.
